Leading Change
It has been said that there is nothing so constant as change. This modularized, two-day bootcamp provides organizations and individuals with the tools required to motivate and guide the single most important element in creating and maintaining positive organizational change: people.
The most persuasive of business cases will not translate to profitable change unless the required behavioral modifications have been planned for, managed, championed and monitored. Because people drive business, this intensive program has been designed with maximum interaction and experiential learning in mind. The number one rule of instructional design for adults is “adults learn only what they do”. Participants will spend fully 50% of their time applying the concepts and skills presented during the program. It is through this experiential learning that the critical “aha” moments emerge.
The first day of the program targets the universal need to be an effective agent for positive change. Upon successful completion of this session, you will be able to:
• explain the importance of adapting to change;
• create a mindset that allows you to be flexible in your thinking;
• describe a model for understanding and managing your response to change;
• identify obstacles to change;
• identify and apply tools and strategies to move the response to change away from the “no”;
• change the way you manage change.
The second day of the program targets leadership and management personnel, who must guide their organizations and teams through positive change. Upon successful completion of this session, you will be able to:
• describe the manager’s role in change;
• identify both the barriers and promoters for change;
• describe the 5 stages of loss that people go through during change;
• identify the 3 camps of change reaction;
• create a plan for change;
• communicate change to your team;
• create a ‘neutral zone’ that allows people to integrate change;
• recognize and celebrate a successful change.
